Film club is all about celebrating Chilean film in all its forms. From shorts, to animation, documentary and full length features and classics. This week we have the poignant biopic of Chilean folk legend Violeta Parra, Violeta se fue a los cielos, arguably the best work to date from Chilean director Andrés Wood. The film was selected as the official Chilean entry for the 84th Academy Awards and won the World Cinema Jury Prize (Dramatic) at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
