University of CambridgeThe Centre of Latin American Studies (CLAS), University of Cambridge has appointed the prestigious Simón Bolívar Chair for 2013, Chilean Sociologist Professor Manuel Antonio Garretón. The Simón Bolívar Chair has been offered since 1968, funded by a grant from the Venezuelan government in order to bring a distinguished Latin American academic to Cambridge each year. Manuel will be speaking this MONDAY the 21st of January 2013 and several times this year in open seminars in Cambridge, definitely worth a trip.
